1 ततः काल्यं समुत्थाय कृतपौर्वाह्णिक करियाः
ययुस ते नगराकारै रथैः पाण्डव यादवाः
Chapter 306
‘”Janaka said, O holy one, it has been said that the relation betweenmale and female is like that which subsists between the Indestructibleand the destructible (or Purusha and Prakriti). Without a male, a femalecan never conceive. Without a female a male also can never create form.

अमर्षी दरुपदॊ राजा कर्मसिद्धान दविजर्षभान
अन्विच्छन परिचक्राम बराह्मणावसथान बहून
हरिश्चंद्र ने मांगा श्मशान-कर
रानी अपने पुत्र को बांहों में उठाकर श्मशान में पहुंची| वंहा पहुंचकर उसके सामने यह समस्या पैदा हो गई कि वह अपने पुत्र का शवदाह कैसे करे| विवश होकर उसने अपनी आधी साड़ी फाड़ी और उसी में अपने पुत्र का शव लपेटकर चिता की ओर बढ़ी|
अनन्त इच्छा
एक बार की बात है, एक राजा अपने देश के पड़ोस में सैर के लिए निकला | उसने देखा वहां की धरती बहुत उपजाऊ थी, चारों ओर फसलें लहलहा रही थीं | राजा मन में सोचने लगा कि कितना अच्छा होता यदि वह सुंदर और उपजाऊ क्षेत्र उसके राज्य में होता और वह उसका मालिक होता |
