तस्मिन्न अन्तर्हिते विप्रे राजा किम अकरॊत तदा
भार्या चास्य महाभागा तन मे बरूहि पितामह

बिना विचारे काम मत करो
एक किसान ने एक नेवला पाल रखा था| नेवला बहुत चतुर और स्वामिभक्त था| एक दिन किसान कहीं गया था| किसान की स्त्री ने अपने छोटे बच्चे को दूध पिलाकर सुला दिया और नेवले को छोड़कर वह घड़ा और रस्सी लेकर कुएँ पर पानी भरने चली गयी|
