“Vasudeva said, ‘Though thus addressed by Bhishma, and Drona, and Vidura,and Gandhari, and Dhritarashtra, that wicked wight could not yet bebrought to his senses. On the other hand, the wicked Duryodhana,disregarding them all, rose (and left the assembly) with eyes red inanger.
किसी जंगल में हिरन और कौआ दो बहुत गहरे मित्र रहते थे| एक दिन जब हिरन जंगल से लौटा तो उसके साथ एक गीदड़ भी था| कौआ सोचने लगा कि यह मक्कार इसके साथ कैसे? यही प्रश्न उसने हीरन से पूछा|

Janamejaya said, “Having sent the heroic sons of Pandu into exile, theselamentations, O Muni, of Dhritarashtra were perfectly futile.
“Vaisampayana said, ‘Mandapala then addressed his children, saying, ‘Ihad spoken unto Agni for the safety of you all. The illustrious deity hadassured me that he would grant my wish.
व्रजभूमि प्रेमका दिव्य धाम है| वहाँ निवास करनेवाले सभी लोग अपने पूर्वजन्ममें अनेक प्रकारके जप-तप, भजन-ध्यान करके परमात्माके समीप रहनेका अधिकार प्राप्त कर चुके थे|
भगवान गणेश के संबंध में यूँ तो कई कथाएँ प्रचलित है किंतु उनके गजानन गणेश कहलाने और सर्वप्रथम पूज्य होने के संबंध में जग प्रसिद्ध कथा यहाँ प्रस्तुत है।
इसकी प्रकृति गर्म है, संभवतया इसी कारण यह शरीर में पित्त को बढ़ाता है| यह रक्त के बहाव में भी तेजी लाता है| यह पेट के कीड़े नष्ट करने में समक्ष है| इसके साथ ही यह निम्न रोगों में भी अत्यन्त लाभकारी है|
