Chapter 17
1 And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
युवक और मृत स्त्री की कहानी
‘जहाँपनाह! मरने वाली औरत मेरी पत्नी और इन वृद्धजन की बेटी थी| यह मेरे चाचा है| ग्यारह वर्ष पूर्व मेरा विवाह हुआ था| हमारे तीन बेटे थे जो जीवित है| मेरी पत्नी अत्यंत सुशील और पतिव्रता थी| वह हर प्रकार से मेरा ख्याल रखती थी और मैं भी उससे बहुत प्रेम करता था| करीब एक महीने पहले वह बीमार पड़ गई| दो-चार दिन की दवा से वह अच्छी तो हो गई और उस दिन उसने स्नान भी किया|
तथास्तु
भगवान का दरबार लगा था। सभी लोगों ने उनसे विभिन्न प्रार्थनाएँ की थीं। एक-एक कर वे उनके सामने प्रस्तुत की जा रही थीं। एक सेठ की प्रार्थना सुनकर परमात्मा को बडा आश्चर्य हुआ।

बुंदेलखण्ड में ओरछा के निकट एक नदी बहती है, जिसे सातार नदी कहते हैं| उस नदी के किनारे पर एक छोटी-सी कुटिया थी, जिसमें एक आदमी रहता था| घर-बार तो उसका कुछ था नहीं|
Chapter 51
“Vaisampayana said, ‘King Yudhishthira, hearing of those feats of Rama,became filled with wonder and said unto Janardana, O thou of Vrishni’srace, the prowess of the high-souled Rama, who in wrath had freed theearth of Kshatriyas, was like that of Sakra himself.
