67. Al-Mulk (1 to 30)
Nun. By the pen and what they inscribe, You are not, [O Muhammad], by the favor of your Lord, a madman., And indeed, for you is a reward uninterrupted…
tabaraka ‘l:aðiy biyadihi ‘lmulku wahuwa ʕalay’ kul:i ʃayʔinm qadiyrun
Nun. By the pen and what they inscribe,
‘l:aðiy xalaqa ‘lmawta wa’lḥayaw’ta liyabluwakum ‘ʔay:ukum ‘ʔaḥsanu ʕamalanm’ j wahuwa ‘lʕaziyzu ‘lɣafuwru
You are not, [O Muhammad], by the favor of your Lord, a madman.
‘l:aðiy xalaqa sabʕa samawatinm ṭiba’qanm’ sl’ m:a’ taray’ fiy xalqi ‘lr:aḥmani min tafawutinm sl’ fa’rjiʕi ‘lbaṣara hal taray’ min fuṭuwrinm
And indeed, for you is a reward uninterrupted.
èum:a ‘rjiʕi ‘lbaṣara kar:atayni yanqalib ‘ʔilayka ‘lbaṣaru xa’siyʔanm’ wahuwa ḥasiyrunm
And indeed, you are of a great moral character.
walaqad zay:an:a’ ‘ls:ama’ʔʔa ‘ld:unya’ bimaṣabiyḥa wajaʕalnaha’ rujuwmanm’ l:ilʃ:ayaṭiyni sl’ wa’ʔaʕtadna’ lahum ʕaða’ba ‘ls:aʕiyri
So you will see and they will see
And for those who disbelieved in their Lord is the punishment of Hell, and wretched is the destination.
‘ʔiða’ʔ ‘ʔulquw’ fiyha’ samiʕuw’ laha’ ʃahiyqanm’ wahiya tafuwru
When they are thrown into it, they hear from it a [dreadful] inhaling while it boils up.
taka’du tamay:azu mina ‘lɣayẓi sl’ kul:ama’ʔ ‘ʔulqiya fiyha’ fawjunm sa’ʔalahum xazanatuha’ʔ ‘ʔalam ya’ʔtikum naðiyrunm
It almost bursts with rage. Every time a company is thrown into it, its keepers ask them, "Did there not come to you a warner?"
qa’luw’ balay’ qad ja’ʔʔana’ naðiyrunm fakað:abna’ waqulna’ ma’ naz:ala ‘ll:ahu min ʃayʔin ‘ʔin ‘ʔantum ‘ʔil:a’ fiy ḍalalinm kabiyrinm
They will say," Yes, a warner had come to us, but we denied and said, ' Allah has not sent down anything. You are not but in great error.' "
waqa’luw’ law kun:a’ nasmaʕu ‘ʔaw naʕqilu ma’ kun:a’ fiyʔ ‘ʔaṣḥabi ‘ls:aʕiyri
And they will say, "If only we had been listening or reasoning, we would not be among the companions of the Blaze."
fa’ʕtarafuw’ biðanmbihim fasuḥqanm’ li’ʔaṣḥabi ‘ls:aʕiyri
And they will admit their sin, so [it is] alienation for the companions of the Blaze.
‘ʔin:a ‘l:aðiyna yaxʃawna rab:ahum bi’lɣaybi lahum m:aɣfiratunm wa’ʔajrunm kabiyrunm
Indeed, those who fear their Lord unseen will have forgiveness and great reward.
wa’ʔasir:uw’ qawlakum ‘ʔawi ‘jharuw’ bihiyʔ sl’ ‘ʔin:ahuw ʕaliymunm biða’ti ‘lṣ:uduwri
And conceal your speech or publicize it; indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts.
‘ʔala’ yaʕlamu man xalaqa wahuwa ‘ll:aṭiyfu ‘lxabiyru
Does He who created not know, while He is the Subtle, the Acquainted?
huwa ‘l:aðiy jaʕala lakumu ‘l’ʔarḍa ðaluwlanm’ fa’mʃuw’ fiy mana’kibiha’ wakuluw’ min r:izqihiy sl’ wa’ʔilayhi ‘ln:uʃuwru
It is He who made the earth tame for you - so walk among its slopes and eat of His provision - and to Him is the resurrection.
ʔa’ʔamintum m:an fiy ‘ls:ama’ʔʔi ‘ʔan yaxsifa bikumu ‘l’ʔarḍa fa’ʔiða’ hiya tamuwru
Do you feel secure that He who [holds authority] in the heaven would not cause the earth to swallow you and suddenly it would sway?
‘ʔam ‘ʔamintum m:an fiy ‘ls:ama’ʔʔi ‘ʔan yursila ʕalaykum ḥa’ṣibanm’ sl’ fasataʕlamuwna kayfa naðiyri
Or do you feel secure that He who [holds authority] in the heaven would not send against you a storm of stones? Then you would know how [severe] was My warning.
And already had those before them denied, and how [terrible] was My reproach.
‘ʔawalam yaraw’ ‘ʔilay ‘lṭ:ayri fawqahum ṣaʔf:atinm wayaqbiḍna j ma’ yumsikuhun:a ‘ʔil:a’ ‘lr:aḥmanu j ‘ʔin:ahuw bikul:i ʃayʔinm baṣiyrun
Do they not see the birds above them with wings outspread and [sometimes] folded in? None holds them [aloft] except the Most Merciful. Indeed He is, of all things, Seeing.
‘ʔam:an haða’ ‘l:aðiy huwa jundunm l:akum yanṣurukum m:in duwni ‘lr:aḥmani j ‘ʔini ‘lkafiruwna ‘ʔil:a’ fiy ɣuruwrin
Or who is it that could be an army for you to aid you other than the Most Merciful? The disbelievers are not but in delusion.
‘ʔam:an haða’ ‘l:aðiy yarzuqukum ‘ʔin ‘ʔamsaka rizqahuw j bal l:aj:uw’ fiy ʕutuw:inm wanufuwrin
Or who is it that could provide for you if He withheld His provision? But they have persisted in insolence and aversion.
‘ʔafaman yamʃiy mukib:an’ ʕalay’ wajhihiyʔ ‘ʔahday’ʔ ‘ʔam:an yamʃiy sawiy:an’ ʕalay’ ṣiraṭinm m:ustaqiyminm
Then is one who walks fallen on his face better guided or one who walks erect on a straight path?
qul huwa ‘l:aðiyʔ ‘ʔanʃa’ʔakum wajaʕala lakumu ‘ls:amʕa wa’l’ʔabṣara wa’l’ʔafʔidata sl’ qaliylanm’ m:a’ taʃkuruwna
Say, "It is He who has produced you and made for you hearing and vision and hearts; little are you grateful."
qul huwa ‘l:aðiy ðara’ʔakum fiy ‘l’ʔarḍi wa’ʔilayhi tuḥʃaruwna
Say, " It is He who has multiplied you throughout the earth, and to Him you will be gathered."
wayaquwluwna matay’ haða’ ‘lwaʕdu ‘ʔin kuntum ṣadiqiyna
And they say, "When is this promise, if you should be truthful?"
qul ‘ʔin:ama’ ‘lʕilmu ʕinda ‘ll:ahi wa’ʔin:ama’ʔ ‘ʔana’ naðiyrunm m:ubiynunm
Say, "The knowledge is only with Allah , and I am only a clear warner."
falam:a’ ra’ʔawhu zulfatanm siyʔʔat wujuwhu ‘l:aðiyna kafaruw’ waqiyla haða’ ‘l:aðiy kuntum bihiy tad:aʕuwna
But when they see it approaching, the faces of those who disbelieve will be distressed, and it will be said, "This is that for which you used to call."
qul ‘ʔaraʔaytum ‘ʔin ‘ʔahlakaniya ‘ll:ahu waman m:aʕiya ‘ʔaw raḥimana’ faman yujiyru ‘lkafiriyna min ʕaða’bin ‘ʔaliyminm
Say, [O Muhammad], "Have you considered: whether Allah should cause my death and those with me or have mercy upon us, who can protect the disbelievers from a painful punishment?"
qul huwa ‘lr:aḥmanu ʔa’man:a’ bihiy waʕalayhi tawak:alna’ sl’ fasataʕlamuwna man huwa fiy ḍalalinm m:ubiyninm
Say, "He is the Most Merciful; we have believed in Him, and upon Him we have relied. And you will [come to] know who it is that is in clear error."
qul ‘ʔaraʔaytum ‘ʔin ‘ʔaṣbaḥa ma’ʔwʔukum ɣawranm’ faman ya’ʔtiykum bima’ʔʔinm m:aʕiyninm
Say, "Have you considered: if your water was to become sunken [into the earth], then who could bring you flowing water?"
