1 قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلنَّاسِ
qul ‘ʔaʕuwðu birab:i ‘ln:a’si
Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind,
2 مَلِكِ ٱلنَّاسِ
maliki ‘ln:a’si
The Sovereign of mankind.
3 إِلَهِ ٱلنَّاسِ
‘ʔilahi ‘ln:a’si
The God of mankind,
4 مِن شَرِّ ٱلْوَسْوَاسِ ٱلْخَنَّاسِ
min ʃar:i ‘lwaswa’si ‘lxan:a’si
From the evil of the retreating whisperer -
5 ٱلَّذِى يُوَسْوِسُ فِى صُدُورِ ٱلنَّاسِ
‘l:aðiy yuwaswisu fiy ṣuduwri ‘ln:a’si
Who whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind -
6 مِنَ ٱلْجِنَّةِ وَٱلنَّاسِ
mina ‘ljin:ati wa’ln:a’si
From among the jinn and mankind."
