37d. As-Saffat (151 to 182)
Lo! it is of their falsehood that they say :, Allah hath begotten . And lo! verily they tell a lie ., ( And again of their falsehood ) : He hath preferred …
أَلَا إِنَّهُم مِّنْ إِفْكِهِمْ لَيَقُولُونَ (151)
Ala innahum min ifkihim layaqooloona
Lo! it is of their falsehood that they say :
وَلَدَ اللَّهُ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ (152)
Walada Allahu wainnahum lakathiboona
Allah hath begotten . And lo! verily they tell a lie .
أَصْطَفَى الْبَنَاتِ عَلَى الْبَنِينَ (153)
Astafa albanati AAala albaneena
( And again of their falsehood ) : He hath preferred daughters to sons
مَا لَكُمْ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَ (154)
Ma lakum kayfa tahkumoona
What aileth you? How judge ye?
أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ (155)
Afala tathakkaroona
Will ye not then reflect?
أَمْ لَكُمْ سُلْطَانٌ مُّبِينٌ (156)
Am lakum sultanun mubeenun
Or have ye a clear warrant?
فَأْتُوا بِكِتَابِكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ (157)
Fatoo bikitabikum in kuntum sadiqeena
Then produce your writ , if ye are truthful .
وَجَعَلُوا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْجِنَّةِ نَسَبًا ۚ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمَتِ الْجِنَّةُ إِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ (158)
WajaAAaloo baynahu wabayna aljinnati nasaban walaqad AAalimati aljinnatu innahum lamuhdaroona
And they imagine kinship between him and the jinn , whereas the jinn know well that they will be brought before ( Him ) .
سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ (159)
Subhana Allahi AAamma yasifoona
Glorified be Allah from that which they attribute ( unto Him ) ,
إِلَّا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ (160)
Illa AAibada Allahi almukhlaseena
Save single minded slaves of Allah .
فَإِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ (161)
Fainnakum wama taAAbudoona
Lo! verily , ye and that which ye worship ,
مَا أَنتُمْ عَلَيْهِ بِفَاتِنِينَ (162)
Ma antum AAalayhi bifatineena
Ye cannot excite ( anyone ) against Him
إِلَّا مَنْ هُوَ صَالِ الْجَحِيمِ (163)
Illa man huwa sali aljaheemi
Save him who is to burn in hell .
وَمَا مِنَّا إِلَّا لَهُ مَقَامٌ مَّعْلُومٌ (164)
Wama minna illa lahu maqamun maAAloomun
There is not one of Us but hath his known position .
وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ الصَّافُّونَ (165)
Wainna lanahnu alssaffoona
Lo! We , even We are they who set the ranks .
وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ الْمُسَبِّحُونَ (166)
Wainna lanahnu almusabbihoona
Lo! We , even We are they who hymn His praise
وَإِن كَانُوا لَيَقُولُونَ (167)
Wain kanoo layaqooloona
And indeed they used to say :
لَوْ أَنَّ عِندَنَا ذِكْرًا مِّنَ الْأَوَّلِينَ (168)
Law anna AAindana thikran mina alawwaleena
If we had but a reminder from the men of old
لَكُنَّا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ (169)
Lakunna AAibada Allahi almukhlaseena
We would be single minded slaves of Allah .
فَكَفَرُوا بِهِ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ (170)
Fakafaroo bihi fasawfa yaAAlamoona
Yet ( now that it is come ) the , disbelieve therein : but they will come to know .
وَلَقَدْ سَبَقَتْ كَلِمَتُنَا لِعِبَادِنَا الْمُرْسَلِينَ (171)
Walaqad sabaqat kalimatuna liAAibadina almursaleena
And verily Our word went forth of old unto Our bondmen sent ( to warn )
إِنَّهُمْ لَهُمُ الْمَنصُورُونَ (172)
Innahum lahumu almansooroona
That they verily would be helped ,
وَإِنَّ جُندَنَا لَهُمُ الْغَالِبُونَ (173)
Wainna jundana lahumu alghaliboona
And that Our host , they verily would be the victors .
فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ (174)
Fatawalla AAanhum hatta heenin
So withdraw from them ( O Muhammad ) awhile ,
وَأَبْصِرْهُمْ فَسَوْفَ يُبْصِرُونَ (175)
Waabsirhum fasawfa yubsiroona
And watch , for they will ( soon ) see .
أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ (176)
AfabiAAathabina yastaAAjiloona
Would they hasten on Our doom?
فَإِذَا نَزَلَ بِسَاحَتِهِمْ فَسَاءَ صَبَاحُ الْمُنذَرِينَ (177)
Faitha nazala bisahatihim fasaa sabahu almunthareena
But when it cometh home to them , then it will be a hapless morn for those who have been warned .
وَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ (178)
Watawalla AAanhum hatta heenin
Withdraw from them awhile
وَأَبْصِرْ فَسَوْفَ يُبْصِرُونَ (179)
Waabsir fasawfa yubsiroona
And watch , for they will ( soon ) see .
سُبْحَانَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ الْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ (180)
Subhana rabbika rabbi alAAizzati AAamma yasifoona
Glorified be thy Lord , the Lord of Majesty , from that which they attribute ( unto Him )
وَسَلَامٌ عَلَى الْمُرْسَلِينَ (181)
Wasalamun AAala almursaleena
And peace be unto those sent ( to warn ) .
وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ (182)
Waalhamdu lillahi rabbi alAAalameena
And praise be to Allah , Lord of the Worlds!
