113. Al-Falaq (1 to 5)
Say, “I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak, From the evil of that which He created, And from the evil of darkness when it settles…
1 قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلْفَلَقِ
qul ‘ʔaʕuwðu birab:i ‘lfalaqi
Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak
2 مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ
min ʃar:i ma’ xalaqa
From the evil of that which He created
3 وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ
wamin ʃar:i ɣa’siqin ‘ʔiða’ waqaba
And from the evil of darkness when it settles
4 وَمِن شَرِّ ٱلنَّفَّثَتِ فِى ٱلْعُقَدِ
wamin ʃar:i ‘ln:af:aèati fiy ‘lʕuqadi
And from the evil of the blowers in knots
5 وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ
wamin ʃar:i ḥa’sidin ‘ʔiًa’ ḥasada
And from the evil of an envier when he envies."
