दुर्यॊधनस्य तद वाक्यं निशम्य भरतर्षभः
नेत्राभ्याम अतिताम्राभ्यां कैतव्यं समुदैक्षत

संध्या के पूर्व का समय था| एकचक्रा नगर के एक मकान के एक कमरे में सात मनुष्य बैठे हुए परस्पर वार्तालाप कर रहे थे| मकान उस ब्राह्मण का था, जिसके घर में पांडव अपनी मां कुंती के साथ टिके हुए थे|

जिरहबख्तर की मजबूती (बादशाह अकबर और बीरबल)
बादशाह अकबर को अपनी फौज के लिए कुछ जिरहबख्तर की आवश्यकता थी| अत: उन्होंने इसके कारीगर को बुलवाया और पहले एक जिरहबख्तर बनाने का आदेश दिया ताकि उसकी मजबूती को परखा जा सके|
