1 And he made the altar of burnt-offering of acacia wood: five cubits was the length thereof, and five cubits the breadth thereof, foursquare; and three cubits the height thereof.
मेल की शक्ति
मातादीन के पाँच पुत्र थे-शिवराम, शिवदास, शिवपाल, शिवसहाय और शिवपूजन| ये पाँचों लड़के परस्पर झगड़ा किया करते थे| छोटी-सी बात पर भी आपस में ‘तू-तू’, ‘मैं-मैं’ करने लगते और गुत्थमगुत्थी कर लेते थे|

धर्मराज की धार्मिकता
महाराज युधिष्ठिर ने जब सुना कि श्रीकृष्ण ने अपनी लीला का संवरण कर लिया है और यादव परस्पर कलह से ही नष्ट हो चुके हैं, तब उन्होंने अर्जुन के पौत्र परीक्षित का राजतिलक कर दिया| स्वयं सब वस्त्र एवं आभूषण उतार दिए| मौन व्रत लेकर, केश खोले, संन्यास लेकर वे राजभवन से निकले और उत्तर दिशा की ओर चल पड़े| उनके शेष भाइयों तथा द्रौपदी ने भी उनका अनुगमन किया|
