सिद्धियों का सदुपयोग
एक व्यक्ति पशु -पक्षियों का व्यापार किया करता था। एक दिन उसे पता चला कि उसके गुरु को पशु-पक्षियों की बोली की समझ है। उसने सोचा कि यदि उसे भी यह विद्या मिल जाए तो वह उसके लिए फायदेमंद साबित हो सकती है। वह अपने गुरु के पास गया, उनकी खूब सेवा की और उनसे पशु-पक्षियों की बोली सिखाने का आग्रह किया। गुरु ने उसे यह विद्या सिखा दी। पर यह भी चेतावनी दी कि वह अधिक लोभ न करे और अपने फायदे के लिए किसी का नुकसान न करे।

एवम उक्तास तु ते पार्था यमौ च पुरुषर्षभौ

बिल्ली के गले में घंटी
अनाज के एक भण्डार के ढेर में सारे चूहे भय में जीते थे| उस क्षेत्र में एक बड़ी और मोटी बिल्ली रहती थी| जब-जब वह भण्डार में आती थी और कुछ चूहों को पकड़ कर खा जाती थी| वे उस बिल्ली से डरे हुए थे, जो चुपके से आती और बिना आवाज किये आसानी से चूहे पकड़ लेती थी|
अंत भले का भला
प्राचीन काल में तक्षशिला नगरी में चंद्रहास नाम का एक राजा राज्य करता था| उसके पुत्र सोमेश्वर और राज्य के प्रधानमंत्री के पुत्र सोमेश्वर और राज्य के प्रधानमंत्री के पुत्र इन्द्रदत्त में बहुत घनिष्टता थी|
