“Dhritarashtra said, ‘After all the Kaurava troops had been slain by thesons of Pandu on the field of battle, what did those survivors of myarmy, Kritavarma and Kripa and the valiant son of Drona do? What also didthe wicked-souled king Duryodhana then do?’
एक बार की घटना है| 30 मार्च, 1919 के दिन दिल्ली में एक अभूतपूर्व हड़ताल हुई| सब ट्रामगाडियाँ और टाँगें बंद थे| दोपहर के समय स्वामी श्रद्धानंद जी को सूचना मिली कि दिल्ली स्टेशन पर गोली चल गई है|

एक बहुत बड़े और घने पीपल के तले एक तीतर ने अपना घोंसला बनाया| उस पीपल के इर्द-गिर्द और भी अनेक छोटे-बड़े पशु-पक्षी रहते थे| उन सभी से तीतर की अच्छी मित्रता थी|
