अध्याय 32

वल्गु चित्रपदं शलक्ष्णं याज्ञसेनि तवया वचः
उक्तं तच छरुतम अस्माभिर नास्तिक्यं तु परभाषसे

वल्गु चित्रपदं शलक्ष्णं याज्ञसेनि तवया वचः
उक्तं तच छरुतम अस्माभिर नास्तिक्यं तु परभाषसे
एक सन्त के पास एक व्यक्ति सत्संग के लिये आया करता था| उस व्यक्ति का विवाह हो गया तो उसका सत्संग में आना कम हो गया| जब सन्तान हो गयी तो तो सत्संग में आना बहुत कम हो गया|
“Yudhishthira said, ‘Thou hast, O scorcher of foes, described the courseof duties, the general conduct, the means of livelihood, with theirresults, of Brahmanas and Kshatriyas and Vaisyas and Sudras.
“Yudhishthira said, ‘Thou hast, O grandsire, discoursed to me the topicof gifts of kine in speaking of the Rishi Nachiketa Thou hast alsoimpliedly discoursed, O puissant one, on the efficacy and pre-eminence ofthat act.

धिग अस्तु कषत्तारम इति बरुवाणॊ; दर्पेण मत्तॊ धृतराष्ट्रस्य पुत्रः
अवैक्षत परातिकामीं सभायाम; उवाच चैनं परमार्यमध्ये
“Bhishma said, ‘Hearing, O bull of Bharata’s race, those words ofSikhandini, afflicted by destiny, that Yaksha, said after reflecting inhis mind, these words, ‘Indeed, it was ordained to be so, and, O Kaurava,it was ordained for my grief!’
“Sanjaya said, ‘Beholding the sons of Drupada, as also those ofKuntibhoja, and Rakshasas too in thousands, slain by the son of Drona,Yudhishthira and Bhimasena, and Dhrishtadyumna, the son of Prishata, andYuyudhana, uniting together, set their hearts firmly on battle.
