परभातायां तु शर्वर्यां भीष्मः शांतनवस ततः
अनीकान्यानुसंयाने वयादिदेशाथ भारत

“Dhritarashtra said, ‘When Bhima and Pandu’s son Yudhishthira wereengaged in battle, when my troops were being slaughtered by the Pandusand the Srinjayas, when, indeed, my vast army being broken and routedrepeatedly became cheerless, tell me, O Sanjaya, what the Kauravas did.’
सहनशीलता
महाराष्ट्र में एक बहुत बड़े संत हुए हैं| उनका नाम था एकनाथ| वह सबसे प्रेम करते थे| कभी गुस्सा नहीं होते थे| एक दिन वह पूजा कर रहे थे कि एक आदमी उनकी गोद में आ बैठा| एकनाथ से प्रसन्न होकर कहा – “वाह! तुम्हारे प्रेम से मुझे बहुत ही आनंद मिला है|”
देश भक्ति
यह घटना मुगलकाल की है| एक बार मुगल बादशाह शाहजहाँ की बेटी सख्त बीमार हुई| राजदरबार के वैधों और हकीमों का सब तरह का इलाज कराया गया, परंतु शहज़ादी सब तरह की चिकित्सा के बावजूद भी ठीक नहीं हुई|
