बादशाह अकबर की बेगम ने जिद पकड़ ली कि उनके भाई को दिल्ली को दीवान नियुक्त किया जाए और बीरबल की दीवान पद से छुट्टी कर दें| बादशाह अकबर ने बेगम को बहुत समझाया| उनके भाई के लिए किसी दूसरे पद की पेशकश की, किंतु बेगम न मानीं|
