95. At-Tin (1 to 8)

By the fig and the olive, And [by] Mount Sinai, And [by] this secure city [Makkah], We have certainly created man in the best of stature;…

95.1

1 ‏وَٱلتِّينِ وَٱلزَّيْتُونِ ‎

wa’lt:iyni wa’lz:aytuwni

By the fig and the olive

95.2

2 ‏وَطُورِ سِينِينَ ‎

waṭuwri siyniyna

And [by] Mount Sinai

95.3

3 ‏وَهَذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ ٱلْأَمِينِ ‎

wahaða’ ‘lbaladi ‘l’ʔamiyni

And [by] this secure city [Makkah],

95.4

4 ‏لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَنَ فِىٓ أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍۢ ‎

laqad xalaqna’ ‘l’ʔinsana fiyʔ ‘ʔaḥsani taqwiyminm

We have certainly created man in the best of stature;

95.5

5 ‏ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَهُ أَسْفَلَ سَفِلِينَ ‎

èum:a radadnahu ‘ʔasfala safiliyna

Then We return him to the lowest of the low,

95.6

6 ‏إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّلِحَتِ فَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍۢ ‎

‘ʔil:a’ ‘l:aًiyna ʔa’manuw’ waʕamiluw’ ‘lṣ:aliḥati falahum ‘ʔajrun ɣayru mamnuwninm

Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds, 
for they will have a reward uninterrupted.

95.7

7 ‏فَمَا يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعْدُ بِٱلدِّينِ ‎

fama’ yukaً:ibuka baʕdu bi’ld:iyni

So what yet causes you to deny the Recompense?

95.8

8 ‏أَلَيْسَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَحْكَمِ ٱلْحَكِمِينَ ‎

‘ʔalaysa ‘ll:ahu bi’ʔaḥkami ‘lḥakimiyna

Is not Allah the most just of judges?
