94. Ash-Sharh (1 to 8)
Did We not expand for you, [O Muhammad], your, And We removed from you your burden, Which had weighed upon your back…
‘ʔalam naʃraḥ laka ṣadraka
Did We not expand for you, [O Muhammad], your breast?
wawaḍaʕna’ ʕanka wizraka
And We removed from you your burden
‘l:aðiyʔ ‘ʔanqaḍa ẓahraka
Which had weighed upon your back
warafaʕna’ laka ðikraka
And raised high for you your repute.
fa’ʔin:a maʕa ‘lʕusri yusran’
For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.
‘ʔin:a maʕa ‘lʕusri yusranm’
Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.
fa’ʔiða’ faraɣta fa’nṣab
So when you have finished [your duties], then stand up [for worship].
wa’ʔilay’ rab:ika fa’rɣab
And to your Lord direct [your] longing.
