97. Al-Qadr (1 to 5)
Indeed, We sent the Qur’an down during the Night of
Decree…
1 إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَهُ فِى لَيْلَةِ ٱلْقَدْرِ
‘ʔin:a’ʔ ‘ʔanzalnahu fiy laylati ‘lqadri
Indeed, We sent the Qur'an down during the Night of Decree.
2 وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ
wama’ʔ ‘ʔadray’ka ma’ laylatu ‘lqadri
And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree?
3 لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌۭ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍۢ
laylatu ‘lqadri xayrunm m:in ‘ʔalfi ʃahrinm
The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.
4 تَنَزَّلُ ٱلْمَلَٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمْرٍۢ
tanaz:alu ‘lmalaʔyʔikatu wa’lr:uwḥu fiyha’ bi’ʔiðni rab:ihim m:in kul:i ‘ʔamrinm
The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter.
5 سَلَمٌ هِىَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ ٱلْفَجْرِ
salamun hiya ḥat:ay’ maṭlaʕi ‘lfajri
Peace it is until the emergence of dawn.
