74b. Al-Muddaththir (51 to 56)
Fleeing from a lion?, Rather, every person among them desires that he would, No! But they do not fear the Hereafter., No! Indeed, the Qur’an is a reminder…
51 فَرَّتْ مِن قَسْوَرَةٍۭ
far:at min qaswaratinm
Fleeing from a lion?
52 بَلْ يُرِيدُ كُلُّ ٱمْرِئٍۢ مِّنْهُمْ أَن يُؤْتَىٰ صُحُفًۭا مُّنَشَّرَةًۭ
bal yuriydu kul:u ‘mriyʔinm m:inhum ‘ʔan yuwʔtay’ ṣuḥufanm’ m:unaʃ:aratanm
Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about.
53 كَلَّا ۖ بَل لَّا يَخَافُونَ ٱلْءَاخِرَةَ
kal:a’ sl’ bal l:a’ yaxa’fuwna ‘lʔa’xirata
No! But they do not fear the Hereafter.
54 كَلَّآ إِنَّهُۥ تَذْكِرَةٌۭ
kal:a’ʔ ‘ʔin:ahuw taًkiratunm
No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder
55 فَمَن شَآءَ ذَكَرَهُۥ
faman ʃa’ʔʔa ًakarahuw
Then whoever wills will remember it.
56 وَمَا يَذْكُرُونَ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ هُوَ أَهْلُ ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ وَأَهْلُ ٱلْمَغْفِرَةِ
wama’ yaًkuruwna ‘ʔil:a’ʔ ‘ʔan yaʃa’ʔʔa ‘ll:ahu j huwa ‘ʔahlu ‘lt:aqway’ wa’ʔahlu ‘lmaɣfirati
And they will not remember except that Allah wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for [granting] forgiveness.
