7e. Al-Araf (201 to 206)
Lo! those who ward off ( evil ) , when a glamour from the
devil troubleth them , they do but remember …
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا إِذَا مَسَّهُمْ طَائِفٌ مِّنَ الشَّيْطَانِ تَذَكَّرُوا فَإِذَا هُم مُّبْصِرُونَ (201)
Inna allatheena ittaqaw itha massahum taifun mina alshshaytani tathakkaroo faitha hum mubsiroona
Lo! those who ward off ( evil ) , when a glamour from the devil troubleth them , they do but remember ( Allah ' s guidance ) and behold them seers!
وَإِخْوَانُهُمْ يَمُدُّونَهُمْ فِي الْغَيِّ ثُمَّ لَا يُقْصِرُونَ (202)
Waikhwanuhum yamuddoonahum fee alghayyi thumma la yuqsiroona
Their brethren plunge them further into error and cease not .
وَإِذَا لَمْ تَأْتِهِم بِآيَةٍ قَالُوا لَوْلَا اجْتَبَيْتَهَا ۚ قُلْ إِنَّمَا أَتَّبِعُ مَا يُوحَىٰ إِلَيَّ مِن رَّبِّي ۚ هَٰذَا بَصَائِرُ مِن رَّبِّكُمْ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةٌ لِّقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ (203)
Waitha lam tatihim biayatin qaloo lawla ijtabaytaha qul innama attabiAAu ma yooha ilayya min rabbee hatha basairu min rabbikum wahudan warahmatun liqawmin yuminoona
And when thou bringest not a verse for them they say : Why hast thou not chosen it? Say : I follow only that which is inspired in me from my Lord . This ( quran_en ) is insight from your Lord , and a guidance and a mercy for a people that believe .
وَإِذَا قُرِئَ الْقُرْآنُ فَاسْتَمِعُوا لَهُ وَأَنصِتُوا لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ (204)
Waitha quria alquranu faistamiAAoo lahu waansitoo laAAallakum turhamoona
And when the quran_en is recited , give ear to it and pay heed , that ye may obtain mercy .
وَاذْكُر رَّبَّكَ فِي نَفْسِكَ تَضَرُّعًا وَخِيفَةً وَدُونَ الْجَهْرِ مِنَ الْقَوْلِ بِالْغُدُوِّ وَالْآصَالِ وَلَا تَكُن مِّنَ الْغَافِلِينَ (205)
Waothkur rabbaka fee nafsika tadarruAAan wakheefatan wadoona aljahri mina alqawli bialghuduwwi waalasali wala takun mina alghafileena
And do thou ( O Muhammad ) remember thy . Lord within thyself humbly and with awe , below thy breath , at morn and evening . And be thou not of the neglectful .
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ عِندَ رَبِّكَ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِهِ وَيُسَبِّحُونَهُ وَلَهُ يَسْجُدُونَ ۩ (206)
Inna allatheena AAinda rabbika la yastakbiroona AAan AAibadatihi wayusabbihoonahu walahu yasjudoona
Lo! those who are with thy Lord are not too proud to do Him service, but they praise Him and prostrate before Him.
