केशवस्य तु तद वाक्यं कर्णः शरुत्वा हितं शुभम
अब्रवीद अभिसंपूज्य कृष्णं मधु निषूदनम
जानन मां हिं महाबाहॊ संमॊहयितुम इच्छसि

Then Yudhishthira, the son of Pandu, said to the Brahmana, Markandeya,’Do thou now narrate the history of Vaivaswata Manu?
तीन दिन का राज्य
एक राजकुँअर थे| स्कूल में पढ़ने के लिए जाते थे| वहाँ प्रजा के बालक भी पढ़ने जाते थे| उनमें से पांच-सात बालक राजकुँअर के मित्र हो गये| वे मित्र बोले-‘आप राजकुँअर हो, राजगद्दी के मालिक हो| आज आप प्रेम और स्नेह करते हो, लेकिन राजगद्दी मिलने पर ऐसा ही प्रेम निभाएंगे, तब हम समझेंगे कि मित्रता है, नहीं तो क्या है?’ राजकुँवर बोले कि अच्छी बात है|
Chapter 41
“Brahmana said, ‘That Mahat who was first produced is called Egoism. Whenit sprang up as I, it came to be called as the second creation. ThatEgoism is said to be the source of all creatures, for these have sprungfrom its modifications.

ततस तु शिल्पिनः सर्वे अमात्यप्रवराश च ह
विदुरश च महाप्राज्ञॊ धार्तराष्ट्रे नयवेदयत
मीरा के प्रभु गिरधर नागर काटो जम का फंदा
नटवर नागर नन्दा भजो रे मन गोविन्दा
श्याम सुन्दर मुख चन्दा भजो रे मन गोविन्दा।
