अध्याय 94
1 यत्राधर्मं परणयते दुर बले बलवत तरः
तां वृत्तिम उपजीवन्ति ये भवन्ति तद अन्वयाः
Chapter 272
“Yudhishthira said, ‘Amongst the diverse kinds of sacrifices, all ofwhich, of course, are regarded to have but one object (viz., thecleansing of the heart or the glory of God), tell me, O grandsire, whatthat sacrifice is which has been ordained for the sake only of virtue andnot for the acquisition of either heaven or wealth!'[1283]

Chapter 83
“Vaisampayana said, ‘When Devayani of sweet smiles heard of the birth ofthis child, she became jealous, and O Bharata, Sarmishtha became anobject of her unpleasant reflections. And Devayani, repairing to her,addressed her thus, ‘O thou of fair eye-brows, what sin is this thou hastcommitted by yielding to the influence of lust?’

Dhritarashtra said, ‘Alas, what was the state of (my) warriors, OSanjaya, when they were deprived of the mighty and god-like Bhishma whohad become a Brahmacharin for the sake of his reverend sire?

“Markandeya continued, ‘O lord of men, the beautiful Siva endowed withgreat virtues and an unspotted character was the wife of Angiras (one ofthe seven Rishis).
मनुष्य की सुरक्षा
एक बार महात्मा गांधी को प्रवासियों पर हो रहे अत्याचार के खिलाफ आवाज उठाने के कारण जोहान्सबर्ग की जेल में बंद कर दिया गया। लेकिन थोड़े ही दिनों के बाद उन्हें रिहा कर दिया गया। कुछ शरारती तत्वों ने यह अफवाह फैला दी कि गांधी जी ने सरकार से समझौता कर लिया है और प्रवासियों पर हो रहे अत्याचारों के खिलाफ आवाज न उठाने का वचन दिया है।
