“Arjuna said,–‘If devotion, O Janardana, is regarded by thee as superiorto work, why then, O Kesava, dost thou engage me in such dreadful work?By equivocal words thou seemest to confound my understanding. Therefore,tell (me) one thing definitely by which I may attain to what is good.’

कृत्वा विवाहं तु कुरुप्रवीरास; तदाभिमन्यॊर मुदितस्वपक्षाः
विश्रम्य चत्वार्य उषसः परतीताः; सभां विराटस्य ततॊ ऽभिजग्मुः
“Vaisampayana said, ‘Then Bhuminjaya, the eldest son of the king,entered, and having worshipped the feet of his father approached Kanka.And he beheld Kanka covered with blood, and seated on the ground at oneend of the court, and waited upon by the Sairindhri.
“Uttara said, ‘The kine have not been recovered by me, nor have the foebeen vanquished by me. All that hath been accomplished by the son of adeity.
सड़क पर चलते हुए एक पथिक की भेंट पास के गांव में रहने वाले एक आदमी से हुई। पथिक ने विस्तृत क्षेत्र की ओर संकेत करते हुए उससे पूछा- यह वही युद्धक्षेत्र है न, जहां सम्राट आलम अपने शत्रुओं पर विजयी हुआ था? उस आदमी ने उत्तर दिया- नहीं, यह कभी युद्धक्षेत्र नहीं रहा। यहां पर तो जाद नाम का एक बड़ा शहर था, जो जलाकर खाक कर दिया गया। इसीलिए अब यह बड़ी उपजाऊ भूमि है। पथिक आगे बढ़ गया।
वाली और सुग्रीव दोनों सगे भाई थे| दोनों भाइयोंमें बड़ा प्रेम था| वाली बड़ा था, इसलिये वही वानरोंका राजा था| एक बार एक राक्षस रात्रिमें किष्किन्धामें आकर वालीको युद्धके लिये चुनौती देते हुए घोर गर्जना करने लगा|
ज़माना अगर छोड़ दे बेसहारा मुझे फ़िक्र क्या मेरे बाबा को है-2
हर इक जन अगर कर भी लेगा किनारा मुझे फ़िक्र क्या मेरे बाबा को है
घर में मसालदान में अजवायन का महत्त्वपूर्ण स्थान है| इसका प्रयोग साग-सब्जी, परांठे, काढ़ा आदि में होता रहता है| इसके गुणों के कारण विद्वानों ने इसे कल्याणकारी माना है| अजवायन रोगियों का तो कल्याण करती ही है – स्वस्थ व्यक्तिओं के लिए भी यह परम हितकारी है|
