एक बार भगवान विष्णु जी शेषनाग पर बेठे बेठे बोर होगये, ओर उन्होने धरती पर घुमने का विचार मन मै किया, वेसे भी कई साल बीत गये थे धरती पर आये, ओर वह अपनी यात्रा की तेयारी मे लग गये, स्वामी को तेयार होता देख कर लक्ष्मी मां ने पुछा !
1 अर्जुन उवाच
मदनुग्रहाय परमं गुह्यम अध्यात्मसंज्ञितम
यत तवयॊक्तं वचस तेन मॊहॊ ऽयं विगतॊ मम

अथ तव इदानीं तुमुले विमर्दे; दविषद्भिर एकॊ बहुभिः समावृतः
महाभये सारथिम इत्य उवाच; भीमश चमूं वारयन धार्तराष्ट्रीम
तवं सारथे याहि जवेन वाहैर; नयाम्य एतान धार्तराष्ट्रान यमाय
“Bhima said, ‘Fie on the might of my arms and fie on the Gandiva ofFalguni, inasmuch as thy hands, red before, now become covered withcorns.
“Vasudeva said,–‘behold, O Partha, the great capital of Magadha,standing in all its beauty.
एक राजा था| वह एक सन्त के पास जाया करता और उनका सत्संग किया करता था| उस राजा ने अपने लिये एक महल बनाया|
एक बुद्धिमान जौहरी था| अपने काम में वह बड़ा तेज था| दैवयोग से युवावस्था में ही वह मर गया| पीछे उसकी स्त्री तथा गोद में एक बालक रह गया| लोगों ने उनके पैसे दबा लिये| धन नष्ट हो गया| उस स्त्री के पास एक हीरा था, जो उसको जौहरी ने दिया था| वह हीरा बहुत कीमती था|
