1 एवम अग्राह्यके तस्मिञ जञातिसंबन्धिमण्डले
मित्रेष्व अमित्रेष्व अपि च कथं भावॊ विभाव्यते
Chapter 283
“Yudhishthira said, ‘O grandsire, thou art possessed of great wisdom andthoroughly conversant with every branch of learning. From this verynarrative of the slaughter of Vritra the wish has arisen in my mind ofasking thee a question.
बुद्धिमत्ता की परीक्षा
एक बार पोर्ट नदी के किनारे एक सुंदर राज्य बसा था | राज्य का नाम था लीगोलैंड | लीगोलैंड में इवानुश्का नाम का राजा राज्य करता था | राजा अपनी विद्वत्ता के लिए प्रसिद्ध था |
Chapter 96
“Vaisampayana said, ‘There was a king known by the name of Mahabhishaborn in the race of Ikshvaku. He was the lord of all the earth, and wastruthful (in speech) and of true prowess. By a thousand horse-sacrificesand a hundred Rajasuyas he had gratified the chief of the celestials andultimately attained to heaven.

चैत्र नवरात्री मे अष्टमी का सर्वाधिक महत्व है| इसी दिन काली, महाकाली, भद्रकाली, दक्षिणकाली तथा बिजासन माता का पूजन किया जाता है| वास्तव मे इन्हे कुल की देवी माना जाता है|

“Salya said, ‘Then all the Rishis and the superior gods said, “Let thehandsome Nahusha be crowned as king of the gods. He is powerful andrenowned, and devoted to virtue ever more.’
