“Yudhishthira said, ‘Tell his those duties in respect of persons likeourselves which are auspicious, productive of happiness in the future,benevolent, approved by all, pleasant, and agreeable.’

एक शेर जिस गुफ़ा में रहता था उसी गुफ़ा में एक चूहे ने बिल बना रखा था| वह चूहा हमेशा शेर को परेशान करता रहता- वह कभी शेर के बाल कुतर देता, कभी पीठ पर नाचने-कूदने लग जाता- कभी-कभी तो वह शेर को काट भी लेता था| शेर उससे बहुत ही दुखी था|

“Sanjaya said, ‘O king, when Yuyudhana, from desire of battle proceededagainst thy troops, king Yudhishthira, surrounded by his forces, followedYuyudhana for reaching the car of Drona.
“Sanjaya said, ‘That which hath been uttered by thee, O king, withrespect to Duryodhana is all true. Nothing that thou hast said, O lord ofthe earth, is untrue.
यह एक पौराणिक कथा है। कुबेर तीनों लोकों में सबसे धनी थे। एक दिन उन्होंने सोचा कि हमारे पास इतनी संपत्ति है, लेकिन कम ही लोगों को इसकी जानकारी है। इसलिए उन्होंने अपनी संपत्ति का प्रदर्शन करने के लिए एक भव्य भोज का आयोजन करने की बात सोची। उस में तीनों लोकों के सभी देवताओं को आमंत्रित किया गया।
